Installing & Using Mambo and Joomla

Using Mambo & Joomla

Although I have just recently discovered these programs, I feel that it has a lot to offer to the user. I would recommend this program only to users who are more experienced with working with a CMS. It’s a more advance program and can take a bit to figure out. (I’m still trying to!) Of course if you’d like to get your hands and mind dipped into this, then you are more then welcome to keep reading below.

As I explore these programs more and more, I have come to the conclusion that Mambo & Joomla are CMS’s more for a corporate or community based website where interactivity is key to the site. Of course this does need to be the only thing, but they many features for a more popular site where it can grow quite a bit. So I wouldn’t suggest this script for anyone making either a personal or portfolio website!

Installing Mambo

Installing Mambo is exactly the same as installing Wordpress, they are both located in the Fantastico application and can be instantly downloaded into the server by it. The only difference, you do not need to put your email in order to set it up.
